Crowns

A crown is a type of dental restoration that covers a damaged tooth or dental implant. Usually teeth that need crowns have suffered a fracture or severe decay . The crown will cover the whole tooth starting above the gum line. In order to get a crown that fits the affected tooth perfectly, the doctor will file the tooth down  to create space for the crown. Then an impression of the tooth is made to create a mold. The crown is fabricated from the mold  in a dental laboratory. When the crown comes back from the lab, you will be called in for a fitting appointment. Once the doctor is sure that the crown fits perfectly, the crown will be permanently cemented onto your tooth to make sure it stays in place. A crown placement is a painless , simple procedure that is minimally invasive and straightforward.
